The never ending dilemma between building structure and space distribution has induced me to prioritizes one of them. Building structure is one of the essentials of architecture and without it, failure is consequent. As a result, my journey began with structural explorations out of which a vague idea turned into a concrete one. [no puns intended]. Site wise, a structural “column” grid came into play as an inflection of the palm tree grove around. Additionally, the colors of the site diffused onto the architecture as a graphic layer. On the other hand, the architecture has forced the site to readjust its perimeters while considering and enhancing urban circulation. This resulted in a smooth and complex dialogue between the architecture and the site that is typically important considering the public characteristics of the area.
